Moving Tips
Here are a few tips regarding your move.
- When booking a job give the best possible description of access at both addresses. This allows me to assess how long a job should take and whether or not extra labour is needed.
- Try and be as well prepared as possible for your move. Packing is a time consuming job! The more prepared you are the less expense you incur.
- Always use small cartons for heavy items such as books, CD’s, crockery etc. Larger cartons for clothes, linen, plastics etc. A good guideline is if you can comfortably pick up a carton, then so can I!
- Any information regarding awkward items is welcomed. A screen door may have to be removed, legs may have to be unscrewed from sofas/tables etc.
- Anything really fragile may best be transported by car. Lampshades, ornaments etc.
- Last, but not least, try not to get too stressed. Moving can be a stressful business!
